GB women dispatch Hungary in Fed Cup clash

British women's tennis received a boost on Wednesday (February 4th) as two of the country's top players secured a decisive lead in their opening Fed Cup tie in Estonia.

Great Britain lead Hungary 2-0 after Elena Baltacha and Anna Keothavong won their matches in their opening Europe/Africa Zone Group 1 tie.

British number one Keothavong was in superb form as she saw off world number 25 Agnes Szavay in straight sets 6-2 6-3, while number three Baltacha beat Greta Arn 7-5 6-3.

The Netherlands and Luxembourg lie in wait for the British team, who will hoping to secure a first place finish in the group for a chance to win promotion to the World Group via a play-off.

The home of British Tennis is the All England Club in Wimbledon, south west London. Fans visiting this world-famous attraction can gain free general admission to the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum and the Wimbledon Tour Experience for free.
