England take on the Pacific Islanders at Twickenham

Published: Monday 20th of October 2008

England's rugby union stars will take on the Pacific Islanders at Twickenham on November 8th, with the hosts looking to assert home advantage over the tourists.

Drawn from the Fijian, Samoan and Tongan islands, The Pacific Islanders represent the best talent these rugby-playing nations have to offer and have the reputation for being a tough-tackling side.

England, recent World Cup runners-up who were pipped at the last by South Africa in their bid to retain the William Webb Ellis Trophy they won Australia in 2003, are currently under the guidance of coach Martin Johnson, their captain in that famous campaign down under.

The home of English rugby, Twickenham is a fantastic three-tiered stadium and is just as enticing a visitor attraction on non-match days.

Its Museum of Rugby holds an unparalleled collection of memorabilia from the history of the game in England and the rest of the world and is considered a must for rugby fans and those new to the sport.

LondonPass holders are entitled to free entry to the Museum of Rugby at Twickenham, saving of £10 for adults and £7 for children.
