England suffer third straight test defeat
Published: Wednesday 3rd of December 2008
England's rugby union side completed their third consecutive test defeat at the hands of Southern Hemisphere opposition on Saturday as New Zealand romped to a 32-6 victory at Twickenham.
A display fraught with indiscipline and indecision cost England dear, who yet again failed to cross the line and allowed their opponents to finish their tour without conceding a try in a Test match.
Despite some uncharacteristically wayward kicking, the All Blacks' Dan Carter took advantage of cheap penalties given away all over the pitch and his team's pace and precision all too easily carved open the home defence.
Martin Johnson will have been frustrated with a performance which saw a number of punches thrown by his players and captain Brian Borthwick look ineffectual in both play and in leadership.
Rugby fans looking to remind themselves how good the sport can be when things are going their way should visit the Museum of Rugby at Twickenham Stadium, the home of the English game.
LondonPass holders will receive free entry to the museum and the stadium tour, saving £10 for adults and £7 for children.
