England 'set to represent British football in 2012'
Published: Friday 29th of May 2009
An agreement is expected to be signed this week allowing England to represent Great Britain at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
The Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish football associations will also sign the document, although they are still expected to have some involvement with the event.
However, the three associations will insist that no attempt is made to put forward Northern Irish, Welsh or Scottish players for the team.
The agreement has already been prepared by the Scottish Football Association and will now be sent to the other relevant parties.
Football fans will not be disappointed when they visit London if they decide to purchase a London Pass on their next trip.
It gives free entry to a range of the city's top attractions, including the Chelsea FC stadium tour, saving £15 per adult and £9 per child.
