Company to launch Wimbledon scooters
Published: Thursday 5th of June 2008
A motorcycle manufacturer is to launch two limited edition scooters in honour of the Wimbledon tennis tournament which takes place later this month.
The tennis themed scooters will be created by TVS Motors which has signed a one-year deal with the All England Lawn Tennis Club to be the official sponsor for Wimbledon Tournaments.
Named Wimbledon Class and Wimbledon Xtreme, the scooters will be painted in colours evocative of the sport.
The new Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum was opened by the HRH the Duke of Kent in April 2006. Highlights include a remarkable 200-degree cinema screen, an extensive collection of tennis attire throughout the ages, interactive touch screen consoles and a 360-degree John McEnroe exhibit.
London Pass holders can receive free entry to the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum, in addition to other sporting attractions including the Chelsea FC Stadium tour or the Twickenham Stadium Tour & Museum of Rugby.
