Chelsea win 'Battle of the Wags'
Published: Thursday 28th of May 2009
Chelsea have beaten their rivals Everton in a so-called Battle of the Wags, a new survey reveals.
Findings from a poll by the Clothes Show London suggest that more people would prefer a shopping date with one of the wives or girlfriends of Chelsea players than those from the Liverpool club.
Cheryl Cole was named the top shopping Wag, scooping 39 per cent of the total vote, closely followed by Carly Zucker, the other half of Chelsea's Joe Cole.
The only Everton entry in the top five was Emily Jagielka, whose husband is currently on the substitutes' bench due to a knee ligament injury.
Those not too keen on taking a shopping trip to London can instead take advantage of the Chelsea FC stadium tour, which is free of charge with the London Pass.
Football fans will get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the Stamford Bridge venue.
