Chelsea to meet Liverpool in quarter-finals

Published: Friday 20th of March 2009

Liverpool and Chelsea are to meet in the quarter-finals of the Champions League this season, it has been announced.

The draw, which took place this morning, will see Liverpool - who won the league in 2005 - pitted against the London side, who were beaten in last season's final.

Over the last four seasons, the teams have played each other four times, most recently in 2008's semi-finals.

Defending champions Manchester United are set to take on Porto, with Villarreal paired with Arsenal.

The Chelsea vs Liverpool match will take place on April 14th.
