Published: Sunday 13th of July 2008
The Windsor Festival is taking place this year once more in and around the grounds of Windsor Castle.
Aiming to promote a "high quality" festival for the "cultural benefit" of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and visitors to the festival can expect from the organisers quality music performances and exciting arts shows.
In 2008 the festival is taking place from September 14th until September 28th.
"The Festival brought to Windsor a new dimension of public participation ... Windsor, with the castle at its heart and Eton at its feet, was ideally suited to a week of music-making and entertainment.…the whole place became the scene of pleasurable meeting and entertainment," the Rt Rev. Robin Woods, Dean of Windsor, said of the festival.
Visit the Waterloo Chamber, Windsor Castle and the Royal Chapel, Windsor Great Park as part of the excitement of the festival.
Festival events are also held in St George's Chapel and the Vicars' Hall in addition to Eton College Chapel and the Music Schools.
