Take a 'descriptive' tour of the Tower of London

Published: Wednesday 24th of September 2008

From September 26th, visitors to the Tower of London can find out even more about the attraction by taking a "descriptive" tour of the Jewel Tower.

With the tours included in the general admission price, London Pass Holders can take a trip around the tower with one of the trained wardens who will provide extra insight into the history of the attraction.

The descriptive tours last around 45 minutes and take place at 10:30 on September 26th, October 17th, November 16th and December 6th.

As well as offering descriptive tours, the attraction will also host a limited number of twilight tours, enabling visitors to experience the eerieness of the tower after dark.

Work on the famous tower was started by William the Conqueror in the 1080s and was continued by King Henry VIII, who used the tower to house religious and political prisoners.

Visitors can gain entry to the Tower of London using their London Pass
