Spooky stuff at Hampton Court Palace

Published: Thursday 16th of October 2008

One of London's most-loved historic buildings Hampton Court Palace will hold a series of ghost tours this winter, putting the willies up visitors from Halloween on October 31st to December 28th.

Each Friday and Saturday night during the event's run, starting at 19:00 when the last day visitors have left, brave souls will be lead around the Palace to see its historic rooms in a new, eerie light.

Guides will regale the guests with chilling stories about the building's past. The notorious haunted gallery is sure to be a highlight of the tour.

Those courageous enough will be able to delve into some of the more haunted areas of the Palace, which are normally kept off limits to regular visitors!

Located on the London-Surrey border, the first construction on the current site was Knights Hospitallers of St John of Jerusalem.

LondonPass holders are entitled to free general admission to Hampton Court Palace. This is a saving of £13.30 off the adult price and £6.65 for children. Pass holders are also entitled to a 20 per cent discount in the Tiltyard Cafe and Privy Kitchen.
