Prince William 'wanted to be a cop'
Published: Thursday 19th of March 2009
Prince William has revealed that he once wanted to join the police force - a far cry from his royal duties.
Questioned by ten-year-old cancer sufferer Alice, the price said that he "soon learnt that probably wasn't a good idea".
William is in training to become a full-time pilot with the Royal Air Force's Search and Rescue Force, which he believes is not going "too badly".
In the interview, which was filmed for the CBBC's Newsround programme, the second in-line to the throne also revealed the secret behind his Harry Potter-like scar, saying it was down to a golfing accident as a child.
Brother Harry might also have something to say following the interview, after 26-year-old William revealed he would beat him at an arm-wrestling match.
