Historic royal properties closed due to adverse weather
Published: Monday 2nd of February 2009
A number of London's top visitor attractions have been forced to close today (February 2nd) due to the unexpected heavy snowfall, including a number of royal properties across the capital.
Historic Royal Palaces announced that the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace and Banqueting House are all closed due to the adverse weather conditions preventing many visitors and staff from making their journeys into and around the capital.
The company made an announcement on their website which confirmed the temporary closure. It also said that all admission tickets would be refunded and apologised for any inconvenience this move had caused.
Once the snow has melted and the skies have cleared, LondonPass holders can enjoy a visit to one of London's fantastic royal attractions, such as Hampton Court Palace, for free (saving £13.30 for adults and £6.65 for children, along with a 20 per cent discount the Tiltyard Café and the Privy Kitchen).
