Treat the tastebuds at London attractions
Published: Thursday 20th of December 2012
Things to do in London don't get much tastier than visiting some of the capital's greatest eateries, and sampling some of the treats the city has to offer.
From festive-inspired sweet shops to cafes and bars, London is a firm favourite with foodies across the world, and it needn't be costly to be of high quality.
With a London Pass there are plenty of deals to be had, allowing visitors to take a break from the sights and sounds of the city to enjoy some tastebud treats.
Crussh Juice Bars
After visiting St Paul's Cathedral or The Monument why not stop off at the capital's best smoothie and fresh juice bar?
For over a decade this renowned brand has been offering Londoners and visitors healthy food and drinks on the go, with a selection of freshly pressed juices, made-to-order smoothies, salads, sandwiches, wraps, soups, cakes and many, many more options.
London Pass holders can receive a free hot drink at selected stores, making it the perfect place to take a pit stop before continuing on a tour of the city.
Following a warming winter drink, tourists can carry on with the sweet treats by heading to the heart of Leicester Square to see M&M World.
Nicknamed London's sweetest attraction, it boasts four floors dedicated to M&M's with exclusive chocolates, merchandise and a host of limited edition items.
Families can have their pictures taken with the iconic M&M characters on a 1960s bus, making a great snap for the London holiday photo album.
There's also a special chocolate wall, which allows fans to concoct their own custom blend from a range of 22 colours, giving them the chance to feel like Willy Wonka himself, inventing exciting new flavours and shades.
William Curley Chocolate Bar
If this day isn't chocolatey enough already then a visit to the William Curley Chocolate bar is an absolute must.
Named the Best British Chocolatier for four years running, here is a man who is known the world over for creating some of the finest and most luxurious chocolates, patisseries and desserts, guaranteed to make anyone's mouth water.
Located in the heart of the opulent neighbourhood of Belgravia, the flagship store is a haven for chocolate lovers, with a chic Japanese influenced décor and a wide variety of handmade delicacies on offer.
New Armouries Café
However, if this is all a little too sweet, and families are searching for a sit down lunch to fill them up for a day of sightseeing then a trip to the New Armouries Café could prove a good opportunity to relax.
Situated inside the grounds of the Tower of London, it's the perfect place to grab a bite to eat during a busy day, especially if visitors have spent a good few hours exploring this amazing attraction.
It's brilliantly positioned to take in the buzz of this historical site, being originally built in 1663 as a storehouse for arms and provisions when the tower became an arsenal.
The restaurant is sure to impress with its spacious size and impressive décor, while also offering a range of food from full meals to teas, cakes, sandwiches and salads.
There is also a children's menu to ensure that customers of all ages are kept happy.
