Shakespeare at Kensington Palace and the Orangery
Published: Thursday 10th of July 2008
Visitors to London this summer can enjoy comedy mayhem and sumptuous dining with a visit to Kensington Palace and the Orangery.
Following a walk around the palace, travellers to London should make a point of viewing Kensington Gardens, home to busts of royals past and the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Playground and Memorial Walk.
Kensington Palace and the Orangery are set within Kensington Gardens, which stretch out over 260 acres featuring magnificent trees, a bronze statue of Peter Pan and the carved Elfin Oak.
Once you have viewed the statue of Queen Victoria, sculpted by her daughter Princess Louise in commemoration of 50 years of the monarch's reign, head to the lawns adjacent from the Orangery for a performance of Shakespeare's acclaimed comedy Twelfth Night, performed by the Oxford Shakespeare Company.
Guests are encouraged to enjoy an epicurean feast at the Orangery beforehand.
