London prepares for culinary event
Published: Tuesday 28th of April 2009
Top restaurants in London will be heading to Regent's Park later this year for a unique event.
Taste of London is set to be held between June 18th and 21st and will showcase a variety of top dishes and talent from across the country.
A number of different cuisines will be on display, including Benares and Tamarind, an Indian restaurant, with Tom's Kitchen and Rhodes 24 flying the flag for modern British food.
Some of the chefs will also be on hand for people to meet, offering cookery demonstrations and topical food debates.
Among them are Tom Aikens, Gary Rhodes, Giorgio Locatelli and Rowley Leigh.
With the London Pass, visitors to the city can make the most of some of its fine eateries for a fraction of the cost.
Covent Garden Grill is just one of them, offering diners a free bottle of house wine when they dine as a couple and order a minimum of two courses.
