Get lost with Chet Baker at the Curzon

Few names in the world of music genuinely embodied the idea of 'cool' like jazz trumpeter Chet Baker.

Visitors to the Curzon Mayfair Cinema and Curzon Soho Cinema can catch an Academy Award-nominated feature film about Baker, directed by renowned photographer and filmmaker Bruce Weber.

Let's Get Lost chronicles the life and times of Baker from his early years in California and Italy, taking in the West Coast Cool days of the 1950s, his narcotics addiction, time in prison for drug possession, right up to the end of his life in 1988 when he fell out of hotel window in Amsterdam.

The film including interviews with his wife, children, friends, musical associates and assorted lovers.

In addition to the Oscar nomination, the film won acclaim at the 1989 New Directors/New Films show at New York's Museum of Modern Art and the Venice Film Festival when it scooped the prestigious Critics' Prize.
