Things to do in London at Easter: Eltham Palace egg trail
Published: Monday 29th of March 2010
Parents who are looking for things to do in London over Easter might wish to treat their children to a special Easter egg trail at Eltham Palace.
A number of Easter eggs have been hidden away in this family-friendly event, which takes place on April 4th and 5th.
Visitors who are able to find all of the eggs will be rewarded with an extra chocolatey treat - an incentive that is sure to keep the kids occupied as they embark on the trail.
Eltham Palace and Gardens is a stunning masterpiece of 20th century design, with its fascinating combination of art deco and ocean liner styles.
The glamorous building was created by textile magnates Stephen and Virginia Courtauld in 1936, next to the remains of a medieval royal palace that was originally Henry VIII's boyhood home.
One particular delight is the property's dining room, which features stylish pink leather upholstered chairs and black-and-silver doors, portraying animals and birds from London Zoo.
Discover more for less with a London sightseeing pass.
