See Further science festival gives tourists things to do in London

Published: Monday 28th of June 2010

Budding scientists can soak themselves in science this season by visiting See Further: The Festival of Science + Arts as part of their itinerary of things to do in London.

Launched to mark the 350th anniversary of the Royal Society, the festival will be offering a range of min-boggling events to entertain visitors of all age brackets.

From drawing a relationship between mathematics and music to discussing the ways to enhance mind skills, physical prowess and the efficiency of machines, the festival will see scientists and artists come together to highlight the overlap between the two disciplines.

Visitors will be able to walk among live experiments being conducted on the streets and enjoy musical performances which have been co-composed by Royal Society scientists alongside Philharmonia Orchestra musicians. The event will also be featuring science-related films being shown at the British Film Institute.

Visitors can add to their experiences by visiting other science-themed London attractions such as the Alexander Fleming Laboratory Museum and the HMS Belfast.
