Save on London attractions this half-term at London Wetland Centre

Published: Tuesday 16th of February 2010

Parents who are on the lookout for things to do in London during the half-term week have the chance to let their kids experience some thrilling natural attractions in the capital.

London Wetland Centre, one of the top family-friendly London attractions, is hosting a range of events during half-term week until February 21st.

The It's A Gas event is half-an-hour of educational fun at 14:00 every day, with a series of interactive experiments focusing on climate change.

Children will be kept occupied by the innovative activities as they learn about CO2 through experiments featuring alka-seltzer rockets, a soda volcano, a sand castle-destroying contest and a cola geyser.

Other daily events include two arts and crafts sessions at 10:30 and 16:00, pond dipping at 11:00 and 15:00, a green game zone at 12:30, as well as the occasional seasonal food trail.

The 42-hectare London Wetland Centre is an international award-winning attraction and has the proud claim of being the best urban site in Europe to watch wildlife.
