London attractions: Toad Hall! at the Scoop
Published: Friday 6th of August 2010
Families making their way their way to the capital can enjoy some open-air theatre for things to do in London.
The Scoop will be transformed into the world of Toad Hall as theatre group Steam Industry steps into the limelight to stage their version of the classic.
Toad Hall! is a musical take on Kenneth Grahame's Wind in the Willows and has been scripted as family entertainment.
Visitors will no doubt spot the uncanny similarity between the protagonist of the play and London mayor Boris Johnson.
Speaking to Whatsonstage.com, Director Phil Willmott said: "It's going to be great fun to perform Mr Toad's adventures for families, beside Boris' City Hall HQ.
"People keep spotting similarities between these charismatic, fun loving, posh boys and I think he'll even enjoy the comparison."
Families can also add a trip to the Kew Gardens to add a bit of picnic fun to their day out in London as well as enjoy the spectacular summer festival.
