Family fun at Eltham Palace

Published: Thursday 14th of August 2008

This August families visiting London can enjoy a range of fun activities at Eltham Palace.

Taking place from August 17th until August 20th will be the Great Eltham Trail - Tudor, where children can learn about Tudor history at Eltham Palace and find Henry VIII and his wives to win a prize.

On August 19th and August 20th, visitors to Eltham Palace can see a display of Tudor Falconry, described as the "most noble form of hunting". Children and adults will learn why birds of prey were a popular hunting bird to own in the 16th century.

Demonstrations of owls, hawks and falcons in flight will also take place.

Later on in August - from August 24th until August 27th, the Great Eltham Trail focuses on Art Deco.

Visitors to the Eltham Palace can gain entry to the event using their London Pass.
