Delve into the wonderful world of Fantastic Mr Fox for things to do in London
Published: Monday 26th of July 2010
This problem can be easily resolved thanks to specially commissioned open air opera targeted at a younger audience.
Opera Holland Park will see the creative genius of Roald Dahl come to life in the Yucca Lawn as part of a partnership between the City of London Symphonia and the artistes of Opera Holland Park.
Donald Sturrock's libretto will take the younger viewers into the wonderful world of the Fantastic Mr Fox amid the natural settings of Holland Park.
By using a popular piece of children's literature, the performance could be an ideal way of introducing as well as inculcating the love for opera in children's minds. The fabulous performance is bound to capture the imagination of adults as well, leading them into a magical journey down memory lane to spend an exquisite hour with characters of their childhood.
