Published: Wednesday 16th of July 2008

The countdown is well and truly underway to the Laura Viers and Led to Sea acoustic concert at the London Wetlands Centre.

Taking place on July 19th, the gig is described as a "totally unique event" that is part of the London Wetlands Centre's Sounds of Summer campaign to encourage visitors to visit the reserve during the long summer nights.

Event organiser Stasa Veroukis claimed to be "thrilled" that Laura Veirs and Led to Sea wished to perform at the London Wetlands Centre.

"Laura's voice is amazing and I can't wait to hear her, especially her songs about the natural world in such a unique setting - it's a perfect match," she added.

Ms Veroukis noted that the concert was a new and "exciting" way in which visitors could enjoy the wetlands wildlife reserve.

Laura Veirs is a singer-songwriter whose work explores the mysteries and marvels of the natural world from the ocean to the stars.

Visitors to London Wetlands Centre can gain entry to the venue using their London Pass.
