London attractions: Take in the Royal Albert Hall at the Proms
Published: Monday 25th of July 2011
As one of the most impressive buildings in London, visitors looking for things to do in London could take a trip to the Royal Albert Hall as part of the Proms.
The series of classical music events, one of the highlights of the summer in London, opened earlier this month with its First Night, with typical fanfare.
Appearing was teenage prodigy Benjamin Grosvenor, the youngest soloist to have ever played at the First Night of the Proms, who gave a rousing performance of Liszt's second piano concerto.
Reviewing the event for the Telegraph, Ivan Hewett said: "This performance showed he already has a perfectly honed technique, able to despatch Liszt's fearsome double-octaves with unflustered precision."
Fans of 'Queen of Soul' Beverly Knight should book tickets to the singer's performance at the Royal Albert Hall, which is taking place on Wednesday November 16th.
