London attraction to host Spinal Tap
Published: Friday 10th of April 2009
Spoof heavy metal band Spinal Tap will be performing a One Night Only World Tour at a London attraction on June 30th.
The capital's Wembley Arena will host the group, who shot to fame in the 1980s with the Mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap.
Spinal Tap celebrate the film's 25th anniversary this year and are set to wow audiences once again when they take to the London attraction stage later this summer.
The group consists of Michael McKean as David Hubbins, Christopher Guest as guitarist Nigel Tufnel and Harry Shearer (of Simpsons fame) as bassist Derek Smalls.
A soundtrack of the film with the same name enjoys as much notoriety as the band and the film itself with hits such as Big Bottom, Stonehenge and Gimme Some Money all likely to feature at the gig.
Commenting ahead of the concert, Derek Smalls said: "One night is not enough - and it's way too much."
