Save on Sightseeing in London: Tube hotspots revealed
Published: Tuesday 25th of August 2009
A new map has revealed the hottest spots on the London Underground.
Transport for London (TfL) unveiled the map, which revealed the Central Line to be the hottest between Mile End and Holland Park.
The Bakerloo line also proved to be one of the warmest on the map, as did stops on the way to top London attractions such as St Paul's Cathedral.
Several plans are currently underway in London to improve transport links, including the cycle hire scheme which recently appointed its operator.
Serco will be behind the scheme, which will launch in summer next year and is hoped to include 400 cycle docking stations and 6,000 hire cycles to make two-wheeled travel more convenient.
David Brown, managing director of surface transport at TfL, said: 'The London Cycle Hire scheme will be the most sustainable, environmentally-friendly form of public transport ever seen in the capital."
