Save on London attractions as city looks to greener travel

Published: Friday 18th of September 2009

It will soon be easier to see top London attractions on two wheels as the green light has been given to a new cycle scheme

The London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea will be welcoming a contra-flow cycle lane, meaning bikers can travel more freely on one-way roads.

"We want to make it easier for councils to encourage people to choose greener transport options - whether that is cycling, getting a lift in a car club or using an electric car," said Transport Minister Sadiq Khan.

Cyclists visiting London attractions will be aware of which areas they are free to use as they will be indicated by 'no entry except for cyclists' signs.

This Sunday (September 20th) will see London's Skyride event taking place, which enables people to cycle round a traffic-free city in an event suited to all ages and abilities.

Save time and money sightseeing in London with free entry to top attractions in London.
