Save on London attractions and take part in Skyride event

Published: Thursday 10th of September 2009

London is gearing up for a cycling event which will enable people to take in various London attractions on two wheels.

Skyride was launched earlier this week by Mayor of London Boris Johnson and model Kelly Brook and is said to be suited to people of all ages and abilities.

"I really enjoy cycling and anything that reminds people how much fun it can be is a fantastic idea," Kelly commented.

It will take place on September 20th, with participants able to admire various top London attractions - including St Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace - along the way.

The event is free and various London streets will become traffic-free for the day so people can enjoy their ride without fear of congestion.

Transport for London recently launched a cycle safety film to residents of the city in a bid to improve conditions for two-wheeled travellers.
