London attractions: Iconic new London bus design unveiled

The iconic new design for the London bus has been unveiled, which will no doubt interest tourists on the look out for a new London attraction in the future.
Based on the world-renowned Routemaster design, the new bus will feature state of the art environmentally-friendly hybrid technology.
Unveiling the new design, Mayor of London Boris Johnson outlined his hope that the new futuristic design of the capital's iconic public transport symbol will become an "emblem for 21st century London when it hits the roads in 2012.
Mr Johnson said: "This iconic new part of our transport system is not only beautiful, but also has a green heart beating beneath its stylish, swooshing exterior.
"It will cut emissions, and give Londoners a bus they can be proud of, complete with cutting edge design, and the freedom of an open platform."
Hundreds of the new buses will be used to take tourists and locals between London attractions such as Benjamin Franklin House and the Curzon Mayfair Cinema across the capital, as well as the 2012 Olympic Games park.
Work is also underway to increase the capacity of another iconic London transport service, the Docklands Light Railway.
Platforms are being lengthened and 55 new carriages are being ordered that will expand all trains from two to three cars.
