London attractions 'still accessible' during marathon

Tourists in London on marathon day can still use the capital's transport service to access top London attraction, Transport for London (TfL) has suggested.

With thousands of spectators expected to flock to the city to watch the race, TfL has released details of how the public can watch the race or get to London attractions.

Visitors are advised by the TfL to use the online services to plan their journey ahead and get real time transport information.

There will be some disruption on the day, with parts of the capitals transport infrastructure closed for maintenance work.

In particular, on the tube parts of the Circle and District lines and the Hammersmith and City line will be suspended.

However, with roads, buses and light railway, London pass holders still have ways to reach top London attractions such as London Zoo and the Fan Museum.

Earlier in the month, TfL announced new taxi fares, with rates going up by 3.4 per cent.

London Pass holders can receive free entry to top London attractions.
