London 'to undergo accessibility assessment'
Published: Tuesday 24th of March 2009
Calls are being made for London to become more accessible during the 2012 Olympics, it has been announced.
Deputy mayor Richard Barnes said it is important for those with mobility issues to speak up so improvements can be made.
"I hope as many people as possible respond to our survey so that we can work with the tourism and hospitality industry to prepare our city for a fantastic, inclusive Olympics," he states.
Questions in the survey include those relating to what it is like to live in London and what practical changes could be made to make locations easier to access.
People are also asked to highlight the best and worst aspects of living in the city, with the hope of making things better for residents and tourists alike.
With the London Pass, people can visit various locations throughout the capital, saving money on top attractions and through special offers.
