This summer, London Canal Museum is operating two guided walks to Camden Town and to the top of St Pancras Water Tower.

On August 7th 2008, visitors to London can join the Towpath Walk to Camden Town through the Islington Tunnel west portal. During this walk, tourists will be informed about the history of the canal.

Another guided walk offered by the London Canal Museum is the Panoramic Water Town Walk, which takes tourists to the top of the St Pancras Water Tower.

This walk takes in the Islington Tunnel west portal and walkers can learn about the history of both the canal and the water tower.

The tour also offers great views of north London and of the railways snaking in and out of St Pancras International station.

On both walks, visitors to London can learn about how the railway between London and Scotland was protected from flooding during the second world war bombing raids, walkers will see canal-side buildings and learn about the former uses of canal-side areas.

Visitors to London Canal Museum can gain entry to the venue using their London Pass.
