Tourists on their way to London attractions will now find it easier than ever to film the route there, it has emerged.

London Underground (LU) has launched a revamped LU Film Office Website, that makes filming on the tube more accessible that ever to both amateurs and professionals.

The website includes details on how to film on the LU, as well as a guide to some of the top locations.

LU already receives thousands of requests to film on the underground transport service, which connects visitors to London attractions such as Chisleshurst Caves and HMS Belfast.

Kate Reston, head of LU Film Office, said: "The Tube is recognised around the world and instantly the viewer knows that it's in London.

"We've revamped our website to make it easier for those wishing to film or photograph on the Tube whether they be professional or amateur."

One film to feature the underground as a setting was the wartime film Atonement, directed by Joe Wright and starring Keira Knightley.
