Tourists expected to save on London attractions as 'confidence returns' in 2010

People will still be enjoying holidays in 2010 as the recession begins to subside, it has been predicted.
They will generally be more optimistic about their plans, said Kate Kenward, executive director at the Association of Independent Tour Operators, which may see more people finding out what there is to do in London.
"This is likely to see expenditure rise and I expect the eurozone countries to become more popular next year," Ms Kenward advised.
Holidays are not generally something which people are willing to cut back on, which will be even more the case once the economic climate improves, she added.
The Thomson and First Choice Trends Report 2009 recently found that 80 per cent of Britons said they expected to take a holiday in 2010, and similar numbers reported that the recession will not lead them to alter their holiday plans.
Around half the people surveyed are planning to spend the same as this year.
