Save on London attractions with birdwatching course at Wetland Centre
Published: Wednesday 17th of March 2010
London Wetland Centre - one of the top London attractions - is running a fascinating birdwatching course for visitors this month.
The Introduction to Birdwatching event takes place on March 20th and is designed to help visitors to identify different birds and understand more about them.
It will focus on birds currently on site, with special information about their plumage, calls and behaviour.
The London Wetland Centre explained: "You'll get tips on how to watch birds including how to behave, what to listen out for and the differences between key species."
Booking in advance is essential for the walk, which will begin at 09:30 and last for 90 minutes, followed by breakfast in the on-site cafe.
The Wetland Centre is run by the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust, which was founded in 1946 by the naturalist and artist, the late Sir Peter Scott.
It is the only UK charity with a national network of nine specialist wetland visitor centres.
