London attractions set for further improvements?
Published: Friday 12th of March 2010
The British government has been urged to do more to improve London attractions ahead of the 2012 Games.
London needs to take advantage of the "enormous potential" it has to offer tourists and visitors fun and exciting things to do in the capital during the Olympics, according to Travelodge chief executive Grant Hearn.
Speaking to the Evening Standard, Mr Hearn explained: "Where are the banners on streets or welcoming signs at King's Cross and Heathrow?
"We must not allow enormous potential benefits for the tourist economy to slip through our fingers."
There is already plenty in the way of London attractions for visitors to the capital to enjoy, including the London Motor Museum, City Cruises and London Eye, which celebrated its ten-year anniversary earlier this week.
Last month, London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games chair Sebastian Coe indicated that those organising the London Games should attempt to learn from the Winter Games in Vancouver.
