Those looking for things to do in London should visit the historic Monument, built by Christopher Wren to mark the Great Fire of London.
Located on pudding lane, where the fire notoriously began, the Monument is the oldest stone column in the world, having been constructed in 1671-7.
Visitors can climb the spiral staircase to the balcony at the top, just below the flaming orb of copper which symbolises the infamous event.
Those who make it to the top of the 311 stairs are rewarded with stunning views of the capitol and a certificate of achievement.
Winner of the RICS London Building Conservation Award 2010 and Overall Runner up across all other award cateogires, the Monument Major Repair also won the RIBA London 2010 award as one of the best 30 projects in London.
Fans of Christopher Wren would also enjoy visiting St Paul's Cathedral for things to do in London which was designed by the famous architect. His tomb can also be found in the crypt.
