Top London attraction opens 'Outback' exhibit

ZSL London Zoo – one of the city's most popular attractions – has unveiled a new and exciting Outback exhibit.
Previously home to the zoo's polar bears, the Mappin Terrace has been transformed into an area resembling an Australian plain and is now home to 20 wallabies and four emus.
The new exhibit will also be used to educate visitors on the way in which climate change can also affect animals living in warm conditions.
ZSL Zoological Director, David Field, explained: "Polar bears have become the symbol of climate change but by transforming this exhibit we can use the zoo's unique history to explain that when it comes to climate change the script is the same, regardless of the cast."
Those visiting the new exhibit will be encouraged to "pledge" a way in which they can personally help to reduce climate change, with more than 10,000 people having already promised to make positive changes to their daily routines.
As well as the new Outback exhibit, ZSL London Zoo is also home to a number of other exciting animal attractions including a gorilla kingdom, butterfly paradise and aquarium.
