Things to do in London: watch breakthrough artists at a new music festival

Published: Monday 21st of December 2009

Music fans visiting England next year should take some time out of their busy London sightseeing schedule to see breakthrough artists perform at a brand new music festival.

The festival, called Next Big Thing, is being organised by music shop chain HMV and will take place in the trendy London borough of Camden the week of February 5th to 14th.

Six London venues will host performances from the likes of Paloma faith, Alex Gardner and Leddra Chapman.

As many as 50 acts are to take part in the festival representing different genres ranging from acoustic singer-songwriters to rock bands, all of which are tipped to break onto the music scene in a big way in 2010.

Jazz Cafe in Camden is one of the selected venues and is just 50 metres from the Camden Town station of the London Underground.

This station is serviced by the Northern Line, which stops near to many other London attractions, including London Bridge and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre Tour and Exhibition.
