See London attractions from a bicycle tour
Published: Tuesday 1st of November 2011
Attendees are able to choose from a traditional cycle or a hardier mountain bike on which to see the capital.
The tour is led by expert guides, who stop at significant points along the path in order to educate cyclists on the rich history of their surroundings.
Nervous cyclists need not worry, as the route taken by the London Bicycle Tour keeps guests away from the traffic, while giving them access to areas they would not usually see by car.
Jean Mowbray, head of marketing at Cycle Training UK, recently commented that a bicycle can be a particularly efficient way to get around the city of London.
She noted that within the bustling capital, a bike will get you around "faster than anything else on the road".
People are choosing to cycle more these days, she noted, due to the "benign, sustainable, healthy and cheap" nature of the activity.
