Save on Sightseeing in London: Join the Ramblers' walking festival
Published: Tuesday 22nd of September 2009
In October sightseers can not only visit London attractions at a discounted price with the London Pass, they can also see famous movie locations in free walking tours.
The Ramblers, in association with Times British Film Institute (BFI) 53rd London Film Festival, will be holding a three-week walking festival to celebrate London's world-class film heritage.
Films on Foot walks are free and open to everyone and have been timed to coincide with the Times BFI London Film Festival, which takes place between October 14th and November 1st.
Nine routes will take in some of London's most iconic big-screen hot spots.
Eleanor Harris, Films on Foot, said: "London is a wonderful city to walk around, with world-class locations that have been captured on film."
Guided walks will take place every Saturday and Sunday at 1.30pm and Wednesdays at 7pm, and will include instantly recognisable locations.
The first walk will include the locations of Bridget Jones's flat, the Leaky Cauldron in Harry Potter, an exciting chase scene in Bourne Ultimatum and will finish at London Bridge tube station.
