Revolution was in the air across Europe and the increasing level of activism among workers and students had governments fearing for their survival.
The All Power to the Imagination! season, which is supported by the International Herald Tribune and runs from now until June 10th across the capital, consists of a range of events and cinema showings about the militant era at Curzon's Mayfair and Soho cinemas.
Readers of Time Out, the legendary London listings magazine and international brand name, will also be able to learn more about its radical beginnings. Founded in 1968 by Tony Elliot, Time Out's original remit was to cover the emerging counter-culture.
