Work, Rest and Play at The Royal Artillery Museum

Published: Friday 4th of July 2008

Here's hoping that this summer will be a hot one and that the slopes of Notting Hill will be covered in picnickers, but if not, there are plenty of places to visit in London indoors, including The Firepower Royal Artillery Museum.

This summer, visitors with London passes can visit certain London attractions, including The Firepower Royal Artillery Museum free of charge, and from July to August a special exhibition is being shown at the historic venue.

Work, Rest and Play at the Arsenal is an exhibit situated in the Greenwich Heritage Centre and examines the lives of men who worked in the Royal Arsenal.

Visitors to London can see a selection of objects, archive material and photographs from the Firepower and Heritage Centre collections.

Other events taking place at The Royal Artillery Museum this July include a School Holiday special, where activities will include military style drill, military uniform dress-up, treasure hunts and paintballing.

A highlight of the event will be the opportunity to fire a World War Two 25lb gun.

London Pass holders can receive free entry to The Royal Artillery Museum.
