What to do in London: HMS Belfast to run Easter events

Published: Thursday 4th of March 2010

Those considering what to do in London may be thrilled to discover that the HMS Belfast is running a series of events through 2010 that could be perfect for families visiting the capital.

On March 27th and 28th, children have been invited to the ship to try and track down ten escaped rats who have disguised themselves as shipmates and hidden around the site.

A variation on the traditional Easter egg hunt, visitors can take part in the event as part of the standard entry price.

Those considering what to do in London with younger children could be relieved to discover that under 16s are welcomed at the site.

HMS Belfast offers a number of educational talks, workshops and activities that are designed to show that the ship was a floating community of up to 950 sailors.

People considering what to do in London can let their children try on authentic uniforms, handle historical artefacts and learn more about life at sea.
