Things to do in London: Explore 'political intrigue' at Museum of Brands
Published: Thursday 29th of April 2010
People looking for things to do in London that are truly unique should get themselves down to the Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising.
And with election fever spreading across the country, now is an especially apt time to pay a visit, with a special exhibition of political mugs running until November 28th.
Political intrigue of the past two centuries is highlighted by the exhibition, with a large number of quirky souvenir mugs, jugs, contemporary toys and tins on show.
The Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising entices visitors with its fascinating collection of items spanning the history of consumer culture.
As the museum's official website explains: "It's all here … the brands and packs, posters and adverts, fads and fashions, toys and games. Evocative and inspiring, it's a kaleidoscope of images and iconic brands."
Located in trendy Notting Hill, the Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising is easily accessible from the nearby Notting Hill, Westbourne Park and Ladbroke Grove Tube stations.
