Save on London sightseeing and find out 'what World War II was really like'
Published: Friday 19th of February 2010
The Britain at War Experience is one of the leading educational London attractions and it provides a unique insight into what life was really like during World War II.
It is a truly interactive day out, making it one of the most enthralling London museums for young and old alike.
"The Britain at War Experience recreates the London Blitz in all its fury, with special effects highlighting the sights and sounds, the artefacts and even the dust and smoke of an air raid at its height," states the Britain at War Experience website.
Visitors to what is one of the most atmospheric London attractions are able to take a lift to the London Underground air raid shelter, keep up-to-date with the latest wartime news in the cinema or read it in the memorable newspapers of the time.
There is even a BBC studio where visitors can view messages from Churchill, Chamberlain, Roosevelt and Hitler.
Winston Churchill's Britain at War Experience is a permanent exhibition open all year round, apart from December 24th-26th, and is situated on Tooley Street, close to London Bridge tube station.
