Published: Wednesday 14th of November 2012

Those looking to enjoy one of the most traditional, fun and family-friendly attractions in London need look no further than Pollock's Toy Museum.

It focuses on the popular toy theatre pastime which involved detailed paper and wooden figures which children could then use to put on stories and plays of their own at home.

The museum is named after Benjamin Pollock, one of the premier toy theatre manufacturers, and was opened back in 1956 to mark the trend which was at the height of its popularity in the 1800s.

Those who mosey along to the attraction will be able to feast their eyes on puppet and stage displays as well as other different toys garnered from around the world such as houses and train sets.

Located just a short walk from Oxford St and Covent Garden the museum is an ideal attraction to take the kids to on trips to London.
