Pollock's Toy Museum 'one of the most atmospheric London attractions'

Published: Sunday 21st of February 2010

Parents looking to save on London attractions might want to take their kids to Pollock's Toy Museum, which has its own unique atmosphere and can keep the young ones entertained for hours.

Two of London's historic buildings are the home of the museum, which occupies a pair of houses joined together in the heart of Fitzrovia.

One of the houses dates back to the 18th century, the other was built in the 19th century, and the small rooms inside are connected by narrow winding staircases.

"The whole place exudes atmosphere and evocations of those special times of childhood," states the Pollock's Toy Museum website.

"Every corner is filled with visual delights and no matter which direction you look new surprises are there to behold."

Almost every kind of toy imaginable from different eras is on display at the museum, including teddy bears, wax and china dolls, board games and nursery furniture.
