Lunchtime concerts at the Foundling Museum

Forget about the Proms, this summer the place to be for London sightseeing and sound-hearing is the Foundling Museum.

Every Thursday in July a special lunchtime concert will be held, with entry free of charge to London Pass holders.

The season kicked off this week on Thursday July 3rd with Beethoven and Youth. presented by the Beethoven Piano Society of Europe.

Focussing on young performers, music about childhood and the early works of composers, Victoria Grigorieva performed on violin and Yekaterina Lebedeva on piano.

On Thursday July 17th, New London Orchestra Young Performers Concert Series 2008 sponsored by the Musicians Benevolent Fund. King's Strings in Concert will showcase an arch lute and two viola da gambas.

During your visit to the Foundling Museum, why not learn about the story of the Foundling Hospital, the first London home for abandoned children. A collection of art and social history can be found in a restored building neighbouring the original site of the now demolished hospital.

London Pass holders can receive free entry to Foundling Museum.
