London museums 'inspire fashion'

Published: Wednesday 17th of September 2008

London museums and attractions are an inspiration to UK fashion designers, it has been claimed.

With London Fashion Week now in full swing, designer Maame Beryah said the city was a melting pot of creative talent and a place where "you could go out in a binbag and no one would bat an eyelid".

She told the Londonist: "There's so much to be seen and to do, and that's what I'm trying to do – discover different parts of London and just be inspired – lots of museums and areas that you wouldn't know exist and that are under-used."

Some of the most popular London museums include the Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms, the Alexander Fleming Laboratory Museum and the Kew Bridge Steam Museum.

A city steeped in history, London is an ideal destination for art lovers and history enthusiasts.

Visitors can gain entry to London Museums using their London Pass.
